Talbot, Victoria

 Sir Henry Barkly, the Governor of Victoria, named Talbot on the 19th of October, 1861. It was a gold mining town. It is situated approx 170 km north west of Melbourne on the Ballarat to Maryborough Road, in Victoria's gold fields. It has the most incredible buildings and is well worth a visit. Stop for a meal and stroll around the township and enjoy Victoria's heritage buildings.
