Travel Tips......

The USA welcomes tourists and has an extensive range of attractions and activities. As it is a huge country weather patterns change from coast to coast and north to south.

The political and legal systems change from state to state. The normal tourist is unlikely to encounter any trouble.
Be careful with your use of alcohol, in some locations to open a container in a public place is an offence.

You need to pay a tax and register at ESTA  at least 72 hours before you travel to the USA. You might need to check if you need a visa when travelling from countries not covered in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). If you intend to stay in the USA for a prolonged period a visa might be required.

English is the main spoken language.

Driving: left hand drive with signs in Imperial system, eg Miles per hour.

When taking photographs just ask first, most officials are willing to assist with directions.

As with all travel be aware of alerts published in the media.
